At the age of 14, Vassilis Michaelides began developing his skills in music production, dedicating countless hours outside of school to learning the craft of composing, arranging, and producing original music. What initially started as a personal passion soon evolved into a serious commitment, leading him to continually expand both his technical knowledge and studio capabilities through ongoing investment in professional music production equipment.
As his experience grew, Vassilis released a number of original productions while gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges independent artists face in promoting their work and reaching a wider audience. Recognising the importance of building a presence within the music industry, he expanded his career into DJing at the age of 16. Performing live allowed him to further develop his musical identity, connect with audiences, and establish himself within Cyprus' nightlife scene.
Following a successful summer season performing in Ayia Napa in 2014, Vassilis reached a significant milestone in his production career when one of his original tracks, produced the previous year, was officially signed by **Tonar Records**. This accomplishment marked an important turning point, reinforcing his confidence as a producer and inspiring him to pursue music production with renewed ambition and a long-term artistic vision.
Rather than relying solely on record labels to create opportunities, Vassilis adopted an entrepreneurial approach to his career. Motivated by a desire to support both his own music and that of emerging talent, he founded **Dirty Records**, an independent record label established to provide a platform for developing artists to showcase their work on an international scale.
Built upon a vision of artistic independence, creative collaboration, and talent development, Dirty Records was created to bridge the gap between promising producers and global audiences. Through the label, Vassilis has remained committed to discovering, supporting, and promoting new artists while contributing to the continued growth of the electronic music community.
Today, his career reflects a combination of artist, producer, DJ, and record label founder—each role contributing to his ongoing mission of creating innovative music, nurturing emerging talent, and expanding his presence within the international electronic music industry.
