YOGA OF DEVOTION Part 1 of 5

Without devotion to God, self-realization is not possible. With intense love and devotion to Lord, when the Transcendental and Formless Absolute is conceived in a form by a yogi-devotee, He manifests into that form as conceived by His child. This manifestation happens because of devotee's intense love to God. In this video Gurudev Sri Swami Brahmananda Giri describes about the nature of true devotion from his experience.

How Jiva Grows Part 1

KriyaYoga & VasiYoga

In this podcast, Gurudev differentiates between Kriyayoga and present-day Vasi Yoga. Whatever bypaths one may follow, he/she has to pass through the royal pathway before finally reaching the destination, i.e., God. This royal pathway is the Sushumna (spine) Nadi. Without awakening, Sushumna divine attainment is never possible to anyone. This can be done with the knowledge of its true science, i.e., Kriyayoga, or without knowledge.

E14. God-realization is Brain Expansion

The realization of one's real identity as a Soul, an intelligent spark of the Almighty, is possible only through the evolutionary expansion of one's consciousness. Through Yoga and Meditation, the time period required for this evolutionary expansion of one's brain (consciousness) can be reduced considerably. Listen to Gurudev Sri Swami Brahmananda Giri's discourse to know more.

E13. Who is Guru

The grace of Guru is what matters most in spiritual attainment. To bless a devotee with the true realization of his soul, the guru must be a realized master. Those who exhibit show-offs and tricks are not Gurus. They can never make devotees enlightened. Guru should be immortal, like Mahavatar Babaji. Gurudev Sri Swami Brahmananda Giri explains the real idea of Guru through the story of Lahiri Mahasaya. He also describes his own experience with Babaji.

SANMARGAM (Thirumanthiram Part 9)- Discourse by Gurudev Sri Swami Brahmananda Giri. Thirumanthiram 1479. One without clarity will not attain Shiva. Clarity means Divine Unconditional Compassion or Jiva Karunyam. One who realise this, will attain Deathless Life, says Sri Vallalar. Gurudev advices how to expand the Divine Jiva Jyoti. Always think that 'I am Light'. Even while sleeping one should not sleep in darkness. Always remain in the feeling of Light.

SANMARGAM (THIRUMANTHIRAM Part 8)- Discourse by Gurudev Sri Swami Brahmananda Giri. Gurudev explains Thirumanthiram 1478. The end of spiritual sadhana is the experience of the ultimate reality or Shivam as Divine Light, beyond which is inexplicable. This is Sanmargam. All demigods became as such through Sanmarga. To explain Gurudev tells the story of Adimudi Thedal. The most important sadhana in Sanmargam is the practice of Jeeva Karunya, Unconditional Compassion to All Living Beings. This will emerge only when we see our own soul in every living being. Lord Buddha was a great example. The Practice of Sanmargam develops the Jiva-Jyothi or Light of Life. Initially it will be experienced as a small dot, Bindu. The devotee meditates this light and in time this light expands to engulf the entire universe. This Light is God. When you follow Sanmargam, you become Shiva.

SANMARGAM [THIRUMANTHIRAM Part 7]- Discourse by Gurudev Sri Swami Brahmanada Giri. In this episode Gurudev describes about ultimate spiritual knowledge and the path of attaining it. One who is in the second step of spiritual evolution worships deities. Even after the respective deity manifest before the devotee, he/she will not be released from the repeated cycles of births and deaths, as such experience doesn't produce true wisdom or Jnana. But, such worship and resultant blessings from the deity will lead the devotee to a true Guru. This is the result of Kiriya Marga. The techer or Sadguru will enlighten the devotee about the true nature of his/her soul and God as beyond names and forms, i.e., formless and he/she is not different from Him. He teaches him how to worship that Formless God. Gurudev explaining Thirumanthiram 1477, says Sanmargam or Right/True Path is the way to worship.
