How time flies, it’s hard to believe that E3 is upon us and it basically started last week. On this weeks episode of the VDGMS podcast most would say that E3 might have been last week with Google announcing Stadia details which we will cover this week as well as multiple Ubisoft leaks, EA Play and what we thought of that conference, as well as a cancelled Blizzard project.

It's that the of year again where we get some of the biggest news in VDGMS. That time of year where we get huge announcements about the future in gaming and what we have to look forward to. It’s the promise of potential the what could be. Maybe the game you never knew you wanted get announced or maybe they remake one of your favorite childhood games. E3 offers the most concentrated chance of this happening. It is also that time when gamers start imagining what will be announced. Which brings us to our list of E3 predictions. These predictions are all over the map from safe to more unpredictable to happening to dreams. Some are based of rumors, off deduction of information and some are just pulled out of thin air. These predictions are in no particular order and I have also given them odds based on my thoughts of them happening.

It is hard to believe that it is already June and the year is almost half way done. We have had some great games this year already and there are plenty more to come including Death Stranding which we talk about the reveal that we got this week including a release date. The annual game that we get from the Call of Duty franchise get fully unveiled and shaken up. Another game coming this year is Pokemon Sword and Shield and Nintendo announced a Direct next week, we give our thoughts on what that means for everything else Nintendo at E3. Also EA unveiled their E3 EA Play schedule and we weigh in with our thoughts on it.

With another great week of VDGMS behind us we talk about the top stories from last week including Mario Maker 2, Ubisoft earnings, Call of Duty shake up, Death Stranding, and Microsoft and Sony working together or at the very least putting together a memo.

Some big announcements this week include a new Ghost Recon, Sony has a new State of Play for us, Nintendo tells us about their E3 plans, EA Access comes to PlayStation finally and if you have two hours to chill we tell you what you should spend it on (hint: God of War Documentary).

We are now officially into the double digits of our podcast with the next target being 100 episodes. On this weeks episode we are talking about the earnings call from ATVI, Mortal Kombat ( the game and the current state of the studio), Apex Legends, Borderlands 3, Epic buying Psyonix and the new free monthly offerings from the console makers.

This week we have a few new AAA releases after a few quieter weeks, we get earnings reports from some big gaming companies, sales data from NPD to dissect and some E3 news just to keep it interesting.

This week on the podcast we get a bit more news than the last few weeks. This week the majors stories come from the big three. First with Sony we get a sit down interview with the system architect of the PS5. Xbox makes a few announcements regarding new hardware as well as the combination of Game Pass and Xbox Live. Nintendo also makes some headlines with its deal with Tencent. Lots to talk about so lets get right into it.

This week we were treated with a long awaited feature from Sony, word started circling about a surprise Nintendo Direct to send off Reggie into retirement and we get Nintendo's take on the virtual world......again with LaboVR. Respawn entertainment riding the high of Apex Legends give us a glimpse into their Star Wars world, we also get our hands on the brand new Astro Gaming C40 PS4 controller and we give you our thoughts about it.
