This week might look calm on the surface — but it’s not a week to check out. It’s a week to ride the calm out, while Mars and Saturn finish their work and Mercury flies close to the Sun. There’s pressure here, but it’s focused. Our work is to refine, clarify, and prepare  for what is  about to move.

We begin with a bright but waning Moon traversing the currently lonely half of the zodiac, giving us a breather from the busy signs ranging from Pisces to Cancer. This is a strong tide demanding that we let go of those old patterns as we walk toward a new horizon.

Mercury spends the rest of May catching up with the Sun.  This is the first full week of combustion, fusing Mercury’s message into the Sun’s exaltation. Clear, concise, true, and compassionate are the guideposts for communication this week.

This will be the final week of the Mars - Saturn conjunction in Pisces. Mars enters Aries next Sunday, May 10th. The friction caused by the push and pull of Mars and Saturn could intensify this week, in an urgent call to finalize details and strategies when it comes to the domain of life associated with Pisces in your chart. Use the courage of Mars and the practicality of Saturn to discern the viability of resources. 

With no other planets changing signs in this week ahead, and with the following week showing a plethora of shifts in concert with the new Moon, it may feel like a quiet time to regroup. So ride the calm out this week — not by stepping back, but by getting clear, getting honest, and getting ready. Because what you refine now is what you’ll move forward with next.
