Episode 6 "Dating as an Investment Banker" reminisces on dating stories from when I was working in Investment Banking. Episode 5 "Dealing with Imposter Syndrome" talks about my experiences of and how to overcome Imposter Syndrome, a modern-day psychological illness that is understated but prevalent. My method: (1) recognize & acknowledge that everyone has Imposter Syndrome, (2) overcome the feeling of Imposter Syndrome through acquiring more knowledge & skills, (3) forgive yourself (for failures) and trust yourself (to succeed) - you will get there!
Episode 4 "How to maintain a work life balance" covers stories and tips I've accumulated on how to maintain a social life whilst working in Investment Banking. Episode 3 "What do Investment Banking Analysts actually do?" outlines the genuine day-to-day jobs you are required to do if you start out as an Investment Banker. This is largely sorted into 3 main buckets: (1) Execution, (2) Origination, and (3) Internal work.
Episode 2 "How I got into Investment Banking" covers the conventional route that I took (spring week > summer intern > full-time analyst) superseded by the unconventional path that I landed in (trading > capital markets > M&A). Listen to my story of how I got into Investment Banking, tips for the various application processes, and how I eventually found a sector that I enjoy.
