What a treat we have in store for you this week folks. We are graced with the presence of Ander Christensen AKA the Saucy Nuggs Man. You probably saw his viral video in front of the Lincoln, Nebraska city council about canceling the word "Boneless Chicken Wings" and he immediately became an idol for us. So obviously we had to have him on the podcast and asked him a wide array of topics on the subject.
Of course, we also talked college sports duh
- Should we have ultimate March Madness in 2021? Where every D-1 Team makes the tournament?
- Our gambling picks sucked last week... but we plan on bouncing back this week!
Thanks for listening, and as always bone in > boneless.
This week we question the very structure of podcasts themselves. Why do we introduce our podcast at the start? You know what you clicked on, you know this is Verbally Committed, why are we telling you that?
But no seriously, we play a little game of buy/sell for storylines of the 2020 season, in a game we like to call "Commit or De-Commit." Get it? Because our podcast is called Verbally Committed?!?!?
Anyways here is what we discuss:
- Is North Carolina actually going to be good long term?
- Is the Heisman Trophy, Trevor Lawrence's to lose?
- Will they wait till possibly the Big Ten plays in the spring to give out the Heisman and other awards?
- Is Alabama better off without a star quarterback?
- Will there be a claimed National Championship from the spring playing teams?
- Will Oklahoma or the field win the Big 12?
- Will Oklahoma be a top 10 defense this year? (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA no they will not)
- Could the possibility exist where we have three SEC teams in the Playoff?
Plenty of questions, not many answers but lots of fun on this weeks episode. Thanks for the listen.
"Can we get back to politics? Please..."
After the whirlwind week that was the Big Ten and Pac-12 postponing their seasons and Nebraska rebelling against the Big Ten's decision, we get back to focusing on the football that will be played this year. Well, sort of. We do hold our own little celebration of life for the Big Ten and Pac-12, breaking down what we will miss about them not playing this fall.
- URI gets good news from the NCAA about some transfers, is URI an A-10 favorite this year?
- Big Ten parents plead to Kevin Warren to play and have a season to which he responds, "how nice but no"
- Lane Kiffin wants to let B1G and Pac-12 players transfer with no penalties. Why they should and shouldn't be able to.
- Nick Saban says spring football would be JV level if played in the spring, is he right? Does it matter? It's still football.
- So who are our favorites to make the CFP now? And why that became an even tougher prediction than it was before.
- Celebration of Life for the Big Ten and Pac-12. Some things we will miss about those two conferences not playing this year.

Welcome to the Marshawn Lynch episode (Yes he wore #10 in college, look it up) What a week it has been so far for college football. And we are here to discuss it all. From the Big Ten's decision to cancel the season, to the entire state of Nebraska being in open rebellion of the Big Ten's decision.
- Did the Big Ten's decision even make sense?
- Why the rush? Was it ever really truly about the safety and health of the student athlete?
- Nebraska fights back at the Big Ten's decision and our resident Nebraska die-hard fan/host, Connor, is here to fight for Big Red as well.
- Scott Frost and Nebraska's comments about possibly playing elsewhere.
- The Big Ten eventually saying "uhhhhhh not so fast there bud"
- Michael Wilbon, Desmond Howard and Pat Forde have some strong words for Nebraska's stance, even though it's completely hypocritical.
- What does Nebraska even do now?
We are also pleased to announce that we are part of the weekly lineup for Sports Country Internet Radio, playing at 2 pm eastern every Thursday!
