Fire Managers on the Prescott National Forest were successful in treating three areas on the Verde Ranger District last week. April 20 -21, 2023, fire personnel treated 250 acres on the Springs RX located on Mingus Mountain near the junction of Forest Service Road 132/105 and Mingus Springs Ranch (T15N, R2E, Sec 28); 690 acres on the Strawberry RX located on Mingus Mountain near the junction of Forest Service Road 132/105 and Mingus Springs Ranch (T15N, R2E, Sec 33 & 34); and 100 acres on the Crater RX located near Powell Springs Campground, south of the community of Cherry.
