Really great to have a chat with Trish and Vic this morning about some forums they are holding at both Avon Youth and the Bridgeley Community Centre in Northam this afternoon about Safe Families.

James and are lagging a little bit this morning with the overcast weather but we're gearing up for a great week ahead :) He mentioned there were a few who braved the heat for the big weekend Vintage Car swap meet in Northam over the weekend and tomorrow there is going to be great information session being held at Avon Youth regarding safe families. 

There was so much sport to talk about this morning I had to split it up :) Joel fills us in on the AFLX and the AFLW matches held over the weekend

Joel let's us know how us Aussies are going in the Winter Olympics, how our Wildcats went over the weekend and the Fedmister collecting more grand titles to his name.

Eliza from the Avon Valley & Wheatbelt Advocate let us in on the big stories within the paper this week including some really great ATAR results, the current situation with Corellas in town and also the 'Toodyay nudie run' event that was planned has isn't to go ahead, which personally I think might be for the best haha

Nadine from the Shire of Chittering let us in this morning on a wonderful art banner competition that community members might be interested in participating in. Also planning is well underway for the huge even that is 'Wear Your Wellies Day'!

Might want to check your cupboards and fridges to take another look at your Caramilk bars. 

The Merredin Rec Centre next week is playing host to a night of old time 50’s & 60’s rock and roll featuring 2 of Australia’s best known singing stars Johnny Young & Peter Andersen-also featuring one of Bandstands singing sweethearts Kelly Green and the Old Guys Rock Band. Johnny very kindly afforded me some of his time this morning to tell us more about the gig and the fact that they are also raising money for RFDS.

Olivia let us know that we've got some great movie nights coming to multiple sites throughout the Shire of Mt Marshall and we've also got the big agicultural show to be looking forward to as well :) 

 From 1974 we discussed the film 'Blazing Saddles' this morning with John from Grass Valley. Not super politically correct,  Mel Brooks wrote this film out of anger at what he described as; white corruption, racism and bible thumping bigotry. Still, it's a bloody hilarious movie in Johns' opinion.
