She also let us know about the Beacon community holding a New Year’s Eve Celebration at the Rec Centre, Australia Day celebrations with the Bencubbin Lions club, the completion of the Sustainable community project and the reimbursement scheme for entry into Mukinbudin, Koorda and Trayning pools.

Last chat this morning with Avon Valley and Wheatbelt journalist Carla Hildebrandt who told us in the paper this week there is a three-page spread looking into the regional education cuts and the closure of Northam residential college. On a more positive not there are some lovely pictures to be seen in the paper this week from the Carols that were at the Rec Centre last weekend that were a big hit.
