Directed, produced and starring Kevin Costner as Lt John Dunbar who's character is an accidental hero of the civil war and is given the choice of any post he desires.

Dunbar opts before the Western frontier as he wants to see it before it's gone. Fate would play a part in his posting as each person that knew of his billet dies leaving him, unbeknownst is limbo.

Dunbar finds his new billet abandoned and derelict and sets about restoring it. Isolated he befriends a lone wolf by feeding it, they become, like his horse, inseparable.

Phyllis has a wonderful chat with me about the hard work that volunteer communitry and DFES members have been putting in towards the Brooking Street reserve and they are going to be celebrating and holding some presentations for it next week. 

What a man to speaking with this morning, can recall the 3 placements of the Melbournce Cup Races for the last 100 years and has dedicated up to 300 hours worth of research and study on it to date this year.
