Frank pieces together clues and finds some disturbing news about Rachel, Veronica reaches out for help from a truly unsettling source.

Still haunted by nightmares, Veronica continues her search for Rachel. She confronts a suspect and pleads her case to the council of ruling elders, all to no avail. Meanwhile, Lucy takes a risk that may lead to her doom.

Between nosy police and leisure suit vampires, Veronica has her hands full. Frank investigates his arson leads and an arrest is made, but outside forces are interested in the suspect as well.

Good news and bad news come in equal measure. Veronica's house comes back together, Frank visits Detective Lewis to investigate, and Lucy warns of more at risk.

Night-to-night life in Veronica’s Jefferson House ebbs and flows from the debaucherously delightful to the dreamily domestic. Everything seems like an average family-friendly night at your local small-town brothel until things take a sudden, fiery turn for the worse. 

Faced with many questions, Veronica must explain to Jules how she got in the mess she’s currently in by reliving the experience as he “rides along,” experiencing her memories firsthand. Veronica must let him see the closest of her friends and employees as well as several things she would prefer not to divulge. 

Veronica faces nightmares and reality, as she addresses literal and figurative ghosts from her distant and recent past, in preparation for meeting face-to-face with the one who made her. She enacts her plan to ask for help, a last-ditch effort, to overcome the many evils allied against her.
