The story of Jesus birth illustrates God’s desire to address sin and shame and we see through the shepherds experiencing his glory an example of how to know true peace which comes from keeping company with Christ.

Imagine a present at Christmas which doesn't need wrapping, doesn't require batteries and has no need of a return label! Sounds too good to be true?

As we continue our Christmas talk Series "The Light of Christmas", we look at the promises of God, that he would not only save us, but come to be with us.

Whether you prefer coloured lights or white, flashing or always on, we all love lights at Christmas.  But what, or more importantly who, does the light represent and why.  

Are you hearing the whisper of mercy saying to you ‘return’? What does this mean and who are we returning to? In this mini two-week series, we look at the parable of the prodigal son and see how the Mercy of God is always calling us home to be with the Father.

Discuss what spoke to you about this week’s sermon. Spend some time praying for one another and contemplating the following:

Are you more like the younger brother? How? Or maybe God is challenging you on the elder bother..

Are there people you find hard to forgive? Do you think others are more underserving than you of God's love and compassion? Maybe you are stuck in outward appearances of self-righteousness, religiosity and more concerned with what others think of you than what is going on inside of you?

What is God speaking to you about becoming like the father? Highlight one area you want to take to God. What Spiritual practices or disciplines can you engage in to deepen your formation.

The 7 key principles of Dangerous Faith are exactly the same for all of us but are expressed differently and uniquely. The disciple Jesus loved, John, is the inspiration for my talk  through his Gospel, his letters and the Book of Revelation:   

Let us LOVE unconditionally with God's love, LIVE in oneness with Him, (abiding in intimacy of relationship), express His overflowing JOY, and SPEAK His words as John did. 

This is Dangerous Faith in action!
