Mark brings The Blessing series to an end this week. Mark reminds us what the purpose of praise and thanksgiving is, and the power it has. Acknowledging God’s grace towards us and every good gift is from above, Mark encourages us to offer our praise to God so that The Blessing will flow.

In this talk Chris Lane invites us to re-consider the call to holiness. He proposes that it is not only a crucial part of God’s plan for us, but a major conduit of God’s blessing.

There are many people that society labels as losers. Jesus was one of them, choosing to lose his life by dying on a cross. But that isn’t the full story. Jesus chose to lose his life so that we would trust in what he accomplished through the cross, and not what we ourselves have accomplished through our lives. We begin to see with God’s eyes, that we are being called to become winners through of Jesus becoming a loser.

In the run up to Easter, Chris Lane considers what makes a winner or a loser in God’s eyes. Jesus said that we didn't win the prize to become God’s people, but that He had already chosen us. So if God has already chosen us, what is He looking for? Being a winner isn’t about the amount of service we provide God, but comes down to whether we truly understand the nature of our relationship with Him. God is the only winner, and it is only when we admit that we are a loser that we can allow God to make us a winner.
