This Sunday, Guest Speaker Bryon Ethington brought a good word on the importance of bringing the name of Jesus to the Jewish people in Israel. Jesus brings hope, light, and salvation, right? So let's make it our mission to share that Good news with everyone we can, including God's chosen people across the world who don't know the Jesus we know.

This week, we began a new series, "Imposter Syndrome." Do you ever feel like you're faking it 'til you make it when you're around other Christians? Do you ever feel like you'll never be "as good of a Christian" as those around you? Ever feel like you can't "live up to" the life God has called you to and the freedom He has brought you into? This message is for you.

This week we discussed the 4 keys to maturity in relationships. Pastor Phil reminded us the importance of willingness to grow and offer grace, and he encouraged us to stay outward-focused. Let's always think about what shows the love of Jesus in out relationships and conversations, always seeking to grow and look more like Jesus!

As believers, we are called to do be mature in our relationships in the workplace, home, school, and elsewhere. One way to be mature relationally is to live sacrificially, putting others and Jesus before ourselves and doing everything we can (in the Lord's strength) to live at peace with everyone. This week, Pastor Phil teaches us practical ways to live a forgiving, peaceful, others-focused life.

Guest Pastor Jeremy Pearson brings the word this week on mirrors, identity, and how living for Jesus is not about behavior modification but instead about heart transformation. Who and what are we looking to for our identity? Jesus transforms our whole heart and tells us who we are in Him.

This week, Pastor Phil walked us through the John 17 scripture, where Jesus healed ten men but only one came back to thank Him. He encouraged us spend time reflecting on whether we come back to Jesus in gratitude and worship after He moves in our life. Do we want Jesus to transform our hearts, or do we just want Him to help us acquire what we want?

This week, Pastor Phil continued in the "Summer Shift" series by focusing on bringing the hidden parts of our lives into the light of Jesus. The Lord wants all of us, including the parts we aren't proud of, and he wants to bring us out of the dark entirely. We talked about the power of our testimony, opening up to trusted healthy believers, and prayer tools.
