This week, we continue in week 2 of the Philippians summer series. In Philippians 1:12-14, while the Apostle Paul was imprisoned for His faith, he focused on how God was working behind the scenes, saving souls through this situation. Romans 8:28 says that God makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him. So when the world is hard and when people are difficult, we can trust that God will make it all work together for His glory and our good. We live in a broken world, but will we submit to the world or submit to God who can turn all things for good? Check out this message to hear more on this!

This week, we launched a series on the book of Philippians, and Pastor Phil walked us through the topics of God continuing to work in our hearts and the importance of praying for other churches.

Lord, help us to stay humble and willing to be taught by You. Philippians 1:6 says “I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” So Lord help us to be willing to be worked on from now until Your return, always praying for other churches and believers along the way. Amen.💚

This week, one of our elders Morris Gurr reminds us that ​the Lord is ALWAYS present and working in the waiting. Check out this message where he walks us through a few ways we can be present with the Lord and press in in the waiting as well.

As we wrap up this message series, Lord help us to keep Your teachings on our minds. You are worth it. Help us to be consistent in prioritizing You in all seasons, and help us to keep a humble heart before You. Help us to love You and those around us well this week. Amen.

In this series we are talking about spiritual maturity, and this week we discuss the importance of choosing to live in the light. Scripture tells us that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. We as humans often think it would be uncomfortable to come into community, be real, and bring things we have struggled with into the light. But bringing things into the light brings healing and forgiveness. Pastor Phil encouraged us to have a moment with the Lord, and maybe call on someone we trust to pray with us. What are we being called to bring into the light this week?

This Sunday we discuss endurance and how important it is to endure in our faith. Endurance is remaining under pressure, and it’s formed deeply in difficult situations and seasons. We need the Lord's strength to remain. This week Pastor Phil leads us in a message where we call on the Lord's strength to endure. Lord, give us strength to endure the hardships and know you more closely. We trust that it’s all worth it. Amen.

This Mother's Day Sunday we're walking through what it looks like to operate in our God-given callings as men and women of God. Pastor Phil walks us through what the Bible says about living in our God-given callings, and what it looks like to have a healthy view of the opposite gender. He reminds us that when we love God, we love His design and creation, even if it is different from our preferences.

This week we discussed how difficult it can be when we are hurt by someone in the Church, but also how important it is to respond in the way God calls us to respond. Vertical Church Elder Chad Vance led us to reflect on ways we have been judgmental or sinful ourselves, and led us to have a moment with the Lord to invite Him into those areas. If it's time for you to start operating out of a place of healing instead of a wound, this message is for you. Lord, help us to love You and love our neighbor.

This week we continued in the "Spiritual Maturity" series, talking about how scripture teaches that our spiritual gifts are from God and for God. Pastor Phil walks us through ways to wisely and humbly use the gifts God has given us to bring God glory and encourage those around us. We are called to use what we have been entrusted with well, so let's look at how we can do that.

This week, we reflect on what we've been running to as our "source" in day-to-day life. Jesus is the only well that never runs dry. He will never let us down. Our God will never leave us. So are we running to Him and running to Him regularly? Pastor Phil walks us through what it means to have Jesus as our 'source' and how this transforms everything in such a good way.
