Many of us walk around with old wounds from our past that have never healed because we were taught to leave the past in the past. As adults, we get bombarded with triggers from those traumatic events an act out without making the connections. It's hard because we know our parents did the best they could with what they had, so we move on unconsciously harboring on to resentment while simultaneously manifesting our pain to others in creative ways like building walls or pushing away any sort of affection. Some call emotional detachment, but I call it another form of masked pain and in this episode, I give a glimpse of its negative effects from a child's perspective. Dive in and tell me what you think.

In this episode, I discuss the topic of self-sabotage because it needs to get more attention. I'm not the first to mention the concept, but I figure the more people who bring it up the more people will start paying attention. We have been taught to believe that wealth is external when in actuality wealth starts from within. Self- sabotaging behaviors are the signs that warn us to look within before we commit to anything.

April 20, 2020 Make a difference by tending to the small things
In this episode, I expand on my view regarding the importance of addressing Jealousy. Too often, we ignore certain behaviors because of their commonality. The problem is the commonality. As a society, we are not taught to deal with emotional pain because it is a sign of weakness; therefore, we shy away from anything that hints to our fault, or at least we try. Jealousy is one of the many masks we use to hide our pain, and this is what I get into on the episode. I think its time for us to change generational habits, i.e., emotionally detached men (fathers) and women (mothers).
