    About Our Guest
Christina is passionate about the work that she does. After a very distinguished career in the military, she and her husband decided to go into business together. Recognizing that there are times when we leave the military that we struggle to find our passion which often leads to feeling unfulfilled, Christina saw this as opportunity to elevate others and used her years of experience to design her signature program "Soldier To Self" to help transitioning military members quickly connect with their passion and start creating a rewarding next chapter. Her business, Kompass Health Associates Inc., founded the Canadian Veteran Marketplace group on Facebook - a 31k member social media forum designed to foster the development and growth of Canadian Veteran initiatives.

  • The Commissioned Officers Guide
Today we’re speaking with soon-to-be Navy Veteran Jarrod H Smith, author of The Commissioned Officers Guide. Jarrod is currently in the middle of his transition from the Navy and spoke about his Naval Career. He also speaks about how COVID helped him realize what he wanted his transition to the civilian world to be like. These realizations are why Jarrod is working to dent the universe by turning the traditional approach to the Military Family "Transition" on its head.

Are you a Veteran who is transitioning to Entrepreneurship? Then check out this FREE download for the Top 29 Entrepreneurship Programs for Veterans & their families! Download Here ---> https://bit.ly/31xfz8S
    About Our Guest
Jarrod's grooming for this Mission began about nine years ago, during his MBA program in Monterey, CA. During his most recent academic experience in the ivory tower at National Defense University's Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security & Resource Strategy, he realized the questions we ask with carefully chosen words matters most, and he asked himself: Are we doing transition right? The hour he spent thinking and reflecting was prompted by the 22-day pushup challenge on Facebook, Memorial Day 2020, because frankly, we're not moving the planet with those (I did it myself). Having fought through mental health challenges, resulting from physical ailments, over the previous 3 years, he decided to begin assembling forces to give transitioning servicemembers a fighting chance. As a Son of God, Brother in Christ, Husband in the Church, and Father of 4 on Earth with their geriatric Lhasa Apso and an 80-lb puppy Mastador friend, Jarrod attained the rank of Commander (O5 paygrade) in the U.S. Navy with experiences in the submarine force, naval aviation, naval expeditionary, operational planning, information systems, and multiple deployments around the globe, he's uniquely situated with the Imagination, Knowledge, and Experience (#IKE) to lead as IKE did during WWII, and provide the necessary planning guidance and structure to military families in preparation for their inevitable transition back into society. The lack of intentional, informed planning with financial literacy, money aptitude, whole health management throughout service time and lacking the "Why?" for self beyond the rank, weapons platform, and service branch are the smoking guns causing "Military Transition" to be so hard. It's not about the military, but about the Servicemember's and their Family's Liberty Day, to allow for Total Freedom during service, and far beyond it.

    Harry’s
For many years I used an electric razor because blades irritated my face.  I recently used Harry’s 5 blade razor along with their foaming shave gel for the first time and it was a great shave with zero irritation to my skin.
Too often we’re choosing between quality or a fair price.
With Harry’s you don’t have to choose! They give you award-winning blades at factory-direct prices.
I was surprised at how long the razor kept its edge which provided many quality uses from the same blade
Harry’s believes in quality so much that they bought their own factory in Germany so they could own every step of the manufacturing process.
For a limited time, Harry’s has an exclusive offer for listeners of my show:
New customers can get a Harry’s Starter Set and a FREE Body Wash for just $3 at HARRYS.COM/VETERAN. That’s over a $16 value for just $3!
You’ll get a 5-blade razor, weighted handle, foaming shave gel, a travel cover, and a travel size body wash.
It’s an incredibly great deal, but act fast while supplies last! Go to HARRYS.COM/VETERAN to redeem your offer.

Today we’re speaking with Air Force Veteran Dana Forester, President and COO of JDog Carpet Cleaning. Dana speaks about her time in the Air Force and her transition to the civilian world. She talks about how JDog recognized the struggle many Veterans faced when acclimating back to civilian life and how they decided to do something to help the other Military families as this new stage of life begins. That’s when they committed themselves to create entrepreneurship opportunities exclusive for Veterans and their families.

    About Our Guest
Prior to becoming the President of JDog Carpet Cleaning in 2019, Forester served as the Director of Operations and Ramp Up Coach of JDog Junk Removal & Hauling, the first service offering under the JDog Brands portfolio. Before joining JDog in 2016, she worked as an Emergency Services Dispatcher.
JDog Brands is committed to hiring Veterans and Military family members, including among its own leadership team. Forester fits both criteria. She served in the Air Force for four years and belongs to a very small community of women who have served as a Munitions Systems Specialist -- a predominantly male field. She comes from a strong legacy of military service, including her uncle, Ken Baldwin, who was an original member of the ‘Band of Brothers.’
