Following a brief break for the holidays, the Fellowship returns to take on an absolutely massive year in video games: 1997. Is Curtis going to win the draft lottery again? Will he pass on Final Fantasy VII with his first overall pick? Good joke. No, never...
If there is one holiday that the video games has embraced as an absolute mainstay in the industry, it's Halloween and the horror genre. Along with two guest pickers from Twitch, Emetatron and Bombom, Kev and Curtis will be drafting games that are spooky or have ghosts, ghouls, or psychotic clowns with no reason behind his exigence other than to destroy the entire planet while God (AKA Nobuo Uematsu) drops a beat.
After Kev takes down the win of the first ever VG Draft, the Union dives into some games to draft from the year 2008 that includes some absolute behemoths from all angles: genre definition, market shifting, and innovation in gameplay structure. So BUCKLE UP for some unpredictable discourse with Maff's first time saying something wholesome on the record, Curtis's triple part-time work, and Hollywood's most predictable actor, Michael Cera.
Muttski, Curtis, and Maff kick off the draft series by drafting games from the iconic Y2K turn of the century and explaining the rules for how the Video Game Draft will operate for the season. From defining "No Fixed Objective" to rolling deep into games scoring a 75 or lower on Metacritic, buckle up for the inaugural Video Game Draft with The Posse.
