Our expectations determine our perception of reality. They impact how we prepare. When it comes to the race of faith, do we have the right expectations? Has that hindered our preparation?

In John 1, Philip invites Nathanael to “come and see” Jesus. We don’t have the physical, in the flesh Jesus with us today so what are we inviting people to “come and see”?

In the few days before and after my dad’s passing, people left these amazing tributes reflecting on his life. As I read these “extraordinary” thoughts , God reminded me of how normal they should be followers of Jesus.

This is the first episode back after my dad passed away in early April. It’s been a hard last month and I’m just sharing what I’m learning as I process through the grief. The Bible makes it clear, in Jesus’ examples in particular, that it’s ok to struggle with pain and grief.

How does knowing Jesus change the way we walk through adverse circumstances? God cares about our peace now. These verses aren’t a magical pill but they do give us a way to find peace in the midst of hardship.
