The Pearl was a 19th century publication dedicated to “poetry”, “stories”, “songs”, and “jokes” of the blue persuasion. Named with about as much subtlety as a brick with a dick, The Pearl seemed to delight in poking fun at social mores of the time by cheekily referring to anal sex and dildoes whenever they could. About the only thing as common as these themes are the obvious descriptions of sexually transmitted infections. Join us as we muddle through the boners of our forbearers.
