The new restrictions were announced after Victoria recorded 429 new coronavirus cases and 13 more deaths, equalling its deadliest day since the pandemic began.

 

The current inquiry should prove an embarrassment to Daniel Andrews and his senior leaders, stemming back to their bungled hotel quarantine which undoubtedly lead to an appalling situation now spread throughout Victoria and to the rest of Australia.
