Philip. 2: 19-23. But I trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to send Timothy to you shortly, that I also may be encouraged when I know your state.

For I have no one like minded, who will sincerely care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ. But you know his proven character, that as a son with his father, he served with me in the gospel. Therefore, I hope to send him at once.

Paul is writing to all the saints, bishops and elders of the church at Philippines. Though Paul is unable to visit them immediately, he is writing to them in sending Timothy. Paul testifies so powerfully about Timothy's clean, transparent and righteous faithful life with so much joy and satisfaction.

Everyone of us need to be testified by others like Timothy and not we talking big about us. Others must testify us. That's the true blessing.

Our aim in everything that we do in this world has to be - to bring glory and honor to the Lord though every good work we do here may not be recognised.

God has given us several blessings, various talents and giftings. He watches with patience as how sincere and faithful we are, in using them.

Riches, wealth, power, position, stature can be enjoyed only here on earth but has no recognition in heaven above.

It is good to be successful, but more than being successful God is looking for faithfullness in us. For men and women of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness.

A name to be earned for uprightness and faithfulness like Timothy before the eyes of the Lord is far better than thousand praises of people.

Topic : God Is With Us Through Hard Times. His Presence Is With Us During Trials, Storms Of Lives And Through Adversities Of Life.

His presence is with us even during physical struggles, spiritual struggles and emotional struggles too! We know that God’s abiding comforting presence is always with us. His Word contains several promises of His loving presence. Let us take a moment to meditate on on God’s comfort presence.

Isaiah 41:10 - God presence strengthens us.:

"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

God has promised us His strength. He will never give us a trial which we are unable to handle. As children of God, we can call upon His presence at any time.

Jeremiah 33:6 - God brings healing to us:

Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.

John 14:27 - God provides peace to us:

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

Sometimes an unexpected pain or illness may frighten us. Let us accept God’s gift of peace, and let it create a calm spirit within you.

Matthew 11:28-30 - God presence lightens our burdens:

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Many times we feel overwhelmed in our Christian life. God has promised us that we can find strength in Him, and He will provide rest for us.

Ps. 100:01. Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all you lands!

Different churches worship in different ways. There are few who truly make a joyful noise.

Because of the technology, we are able to watch the worship services of different churches.all over the world.

Well, there are worship services in few churches who touch the very heart of God. Their worship is balanced. We can observe the presence of God, the joy of the Lord, and the wonder working power of the Lord. And comforting presence literally transforming lives..

Broken hearted people who come with so much of burden and anxiety are comforted and delivered. To be honest we find very few such church services.

We also observe in few services, they sing and praise to bring self glory and not taking them to the level of God's holy and joyful presence. Such services tickle their emotions. Once they come out of the sanctuary they are left high and dry. I have experienced such blessed worship services. One good element of true worship is celebration of God's redeeming act.

Topic: Happy And Joyful Independence! Happy Independence Day To All Proud Indians All Over The World! Happy Independence To All God's Children. Freedom From All Our Sins And Darkness.

What does Happy Independence means to those who are in poverty and not able to have one meal a day? Do we think about them? Do we attempt to do anything? That's independence. It's not for one section of India flourishing and prospering. But independence is for all, especially to the poor, to the unloved, to rejected societies, treating everyone with equal respect irrespective of caste creed and religion. Because of untimely and excess rains many crops of the farmers were destroyed. Can farmers celebrate happy independence day today?

More than 2.65 crore people have already pinned their flags digitally to their homes. And more than half a crore have uploaded selfie with the Indian flag. It's really commendable and great.

But, does bringing home a flag, playing patriotic songs and watching independence day celebrations on the TV make one a patriot?

As the country celebrates 75th year of Independence, a cross section of our "young India, talk beautifully of what nationalism and patriotism means to them.

One young Indian shares like this, "Farmers in this country are mired in unfriendly goverment policies and regulations. The price of seeds is increasing and the crop yield us decreasing because of the unpredictable weather. I would like to see farmers in this nation prosper and get the respect they deserve.

But I'm not in favour of rising religious intolerance in this proud nation. We were never a Hindu state."

Freedom was achieved by Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs and other religions unitedly fighting for one cause. Independence. Freedom.

This new week many Indians not only in india but all over the world are celebrating Independence Day in a variety of ways.

Many have taken extra time off from work and are traveling having weekend holidays too. Some are taking a special opportunity to visit familes. Others just stay home and perhaps watch the Independence day celebrations, patriotic songs on T.V.

We celebrate this holiday because of what happened in 1947.

We celebrate that these leaders had the gumption, and courage to break the rules and unfair burdens imposed by the rule of Britishers.

What is independence for a true child of God?

We will continue to be under the bondage of sin and Satan unless we truly confess, repent and turn away from sins, habitual sins, sins of addiction like being covetous, envy, gluttony, pride, sloth, greed, craving for power, position, wrath, lust of the eyes and flesh. Otherwise we still do not have liberty and freedom though being Christians. We can never experience from within, never experience peace within and never experience freedom from sin though we may look good on the outer.

Ro. 3:23. For the wages of sin is death. Death means, we are dead in sins, and we are yet to find freedom. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.

When we truly receive and acknowledge Christ as our Lord,

Blessings of true freedom : Firstly we are freed from eternal damnation to everlasting life, where there is eternal joy peace and happiness and where there are no arguments, no power struggles, no corruption...

With Risen power then within us, we can conquer Satan, sin and lustful sins of this world. And will always be a blessing to others and not harm..

Gracious loving heavenly Father, we pray for our nation India as we celebrate 75th anniversary. Irrespective of cast creed and religion, help us to live in unity, peace and tranquility.

Give us the passion to share that true freedom and peace comes from thee, Jesus Christ, and to make you as the saviour keep you always in the centre of our lives.

Topic: Leaders And Importance Of Good Leadership!

God wants all of His children to be “spiritual leaders.” You may not think of yourself as a leader, but in Mark 16:15, God has commissioned all of us who are called as His children to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

There are different ways of “preaching” and “witnessing,” but the strongest and most effective way of sharing our faith as a leader is to “lead by example!”

Our daily actions will go further to influence others than anything else!

When we react to hostile situations with humility instead of angry words, people notice! But, we fail sometimes and some, fail oftentimes. 😨

It's upto an individual to judge where we stand.

When we act in kindness instead of indifference, people notice! And when we are honest, people notice! When we are manipulative and cunning, people notice and observe us from distance. The world watches our lives more than our works.

"A leader is one who knows the way, shows the way and goes the same way." John C Maxwell said.

Some only know the way. There are Some who know the way and show the way. There are few who know, show and go the way. Such people or such leaders bring great blessings. These are very successful because such leaders influence others through their lives.

The Bible says in 1 Timothy 4:12, “Be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

Parents are leaders in the family. Teachers are leaders in the school. A good parent or a good teacher is, they not only teach, instruct, but they live and follow what they teach.

Unless we have Christ living within us, we can’t lead anyone . . . anywhere! Our example can either lead people “to” Christ or “away” from Him, so it’s critically important that our every action is guided by the Holy Spirit! Yes, God has chosen us for leadership;

Activities are not important but our positive influence to build them is more important.

Topic: Words Of Jesus Still Have Life, Power, Healing And Restoration. His Words Are Still Giving Comfort To The Sorrowing Ones; Hope To The Despairing Ones.

Matt. 9 : 6,7 & 8. Jesus said to the paralytic man lying on a bed, "Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house. And he arose and departed to his house. Now when the multitude saw it, they marvelled and glorified God.

Words of Christ have words of life. We know how His words comforted sorrow and gave peace to troubled ones.

How His words reached men's hearts and transformed the whole purpose of their lives. We can recall the transformed life of the tax collector, Zachaeus and also how the paralytic man has been healed instantly by His few words. No shouting needed. No jargons needed.

His Words are divine and peace giving. Demons listened trembling when He spoke, and instantly recognised His power and obeyed. They are yet calming tempests and opening blind eyes, and expelling evil spirits, and raising the dead.

These words of Christ which have manifested His majestic miraculous power 2000 years back has the same power even today.....

Then, why when we have the "words of life of Jesus," we are unable to reignite the revival?? Why there is no revival?? It's very simple. We do not obey the life giving words of Christ 100%.

Our obedience is in "bits and pieces" like king Saul..

Everyone needs kind words and encouragement. But always desiring appreciation, praise from people, but same time, unable to take criticism and correction is not true sign . Disciples were criticised, offended and humiliated but yet, they bore the cross and won 1000s to God's kingdom. The day we start "walking the talk," the day our lives become more powerful than our mere preaching brings greatest revival. Let us carry the Cross and not just wearing the cross, and crucify our self centred ego to reignite the great revival.

Topic: Selfishness And Greed! This Actually Holds Us Back From Being Blessed And Makes Us Joyless Within, Dry And Empty Inspite Of Doing So Many Christian Activities.

Yesterday we discussed about selflessness. How the young lad sacrificed ten cents to give to the waitress.

Today, let us listen to this topic, "Selfishness And Greed" opposite of yesterday's devotion.

Philip 2 : 3 & 4 .Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

I feel sad to share but it's the truth. Till now, in my observation I never heard neither Hindus nor muslims going to courts to fight for their rights and properties. But if we go to the courts, we see so many cases of Christians and churches fighting for properties and rights.

It's the greatest curse. 100s and 100s of churches where we see selfishness and greed taking centre stage and the word "true revival of God's kingdom" has taken a back seat.

During my theological studies we walked through the book of Acts. If we observe the book of Acts, Greatest revival has taken place in the history, has been during the early church disciples and apostolic days. If I'm not exaggerating, selfishness among the disciples and apostles was ZERO. Unity, one accord, relishing succes of each other has been their lives. Revival, unity, togetherness, true joy and peace was at its peak. Satan and it's works were crushed.

If, we, as Individual and organisations and ministries and churches have such attitude, it will be time for greatest revival of our times.

But, when we continue to have a selfish attitude, we can never expect to flourish and never expect any sort of revival even if we have the best of fiery, inspiring sermons and speeches. Because unless the roots are good no good can come forth.

Once a mother before going to office has kept two boxes of sweets telling his two school going sons to have them once they return from school.....

Greed and selfishness was rooted in his life. It's in the human nature itself.

Greed always wants more. Needs can be satisfied, greed cannot be satisfied. Like that little elder brother, it wants more and more.

Hebron church has blessed millions of people all over the world. Because of Bro. Bakth Singh's prayerful and faithful life church has been blessed with so much of property in the Heartland of twin cities.....

Apostle Paul observed similar situation, and so, he was addressing the church of Philippines who were fighting against each other, and boasting of their abilities and powers and doing everything looking into their own interests with selfish ambition. He told them to shun selfish ambitions and their self interests and look into interests of others.
