All of Creation was established in 6 days, and on the 7th day, God rested. Death and destruction is the result of sin and therefore came into being as the result of mankinds 'fall' in the Garden. Jesus came to pay the price for that sin and to enable man to come 'back' into right relationship with God the Father.
