It's like a barren garden planted in parched desert soil. There are “ways of God” that will lead us into the “will of God”- and restore peace, joy, blessing and fruitfulness. In short, “he who waters... will be watered himself”. We need the “soaking” waters of God that restore life, authentic purpose and rich blessing to our lives.
