We all want to do a great work for God, but what does that take? Too many Christians are content passively sitting around, but God requires us to discipline our live to do his work. That may look differently for many of us, but the principles are the same.

The Christian Mission is all about rebuilding what was broken by sin. There is brokenness all around us, and there will be until the renewal of the Earth, but Christians can continue to commit to holistically rebuilding and renewing people and communities.

What if real justice in our world doesn't start with "them", but it starts with us? If we are not diligently clearing out the beam in our own eyes, then we are unable to see clearly how to address the sin in our world. Justice begins with the Christian, but it is perfected by Christ.

Proverbs 11:1

The gospel is not only our prized possession, but it is also despised by satan. Sharing the gospel is our commitment to Christ, but it also comes at the ire of the adversary. Listen to this sermon today to know why we should not take these attacks personally.

While many of us might think that isolation is our preferred state, we also may only think that isolation is easier--but is it better? Community brings complexity and challenges along with accountability and conviction. We may feel prone to retreat into ourselves, but that is the most unsafe space for us to be. In the air, pilots get two major forms of communication to help them navigate. They have their instruments on the plane, and they also have Air Traffic Control. Unfortunately, many people feel that God is too hard to please or that he requires far too much of us, but that is often because we're trying to cheaply please him with out actions. God wants our hearts, and he doesn't just want the remains.

We realize that life can get redundant and lose its fulfillment, but this sermon is an encouragement, not only to keep going, but to make sure that we have the right motivations when we do what we do. Be faithful to God wherever you are.

Pettiness is probably one of those secret heart defects that many people, Christians alike, wrestle with. We should strive to have hearts that do not harbor resentment or ill-will. In short, we must learn to pray for others we are bothered by as opposed to preying ON them.
