Asaph was struggling when he saw all of the wicked going on in the world. He even got to the point of being envious of the prosperity he saw in wicked people. He admits that his foot almost slipped from his faith in the Lord, but all of that changed when he entered into the sanctuary. Jeremiah's scribe Baruch has a "woe is me" moment where he falls into depression and is disappointed at his circumstances.
