  • Simple Faith | Pastor Jacob Sheriff

Pastor Jacob Sheriff teaching from Durant

    Simple Faith

2 Corinthians 11:3 (NKJV) But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

    Mark 5:21-43 (ESV)

    Helpless dependence

Mark 5:34 (ESV) And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”

Faith receives what grace has provided.
What Jesus has done on my behalf is enough.

Mark 3:35 (ESV) “For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.”

Mark 5:36 (ESV) But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.”
Mark 5:39 (ESV) And when he had entered, he said to them, “Why are you making a commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but sleeping.”

Mark 6:1-6 (ESV) He went away from there and came to his hometown, and his disciples followed him. And on the Sabbath he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things? What is the wisdom given to him? How are such mighty works done by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him. And Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his hometown and among his relatives and in his own household.” And he could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them. And he marveled because of their unbelief. And he went about among the villages teaching.
