  • Real Rest | Austin Hix
There is a kind of “tired” that taking a nap or time off work won’t fix. There are different words for this kind of tired like weary, faint-hearted, and burnout. There are signs of this kind of tired like cynicism, little things that shouldn’t bother you rub you the wrong way, all people drain you, and you see things mostly negatively. Unless we get revitalized, we give room for the enemy. There may come a time where you just want […] The post Real Rest | Austin Hix appeared first on Victory Life Church.

  • A Spiritual Fight | Part 2 | Zach Backues

The primary spiritual battleground is the mind. Our thought life is either of the devil or of Jesus, there is no in-between. The tactics of the enemy are: To get you to question your identity, confuse your thoughts, and then when he has your thoughts, he can now control your behavior. The devil has no good in him, has no truths, and he cannot create anything– He can only manipulate lies to sound like truth. Pastor Zach gets us refocused […]

  • A Spiritual Fight | Part 1 | Jacob Sheriff

Yes, we are in a spiritual fight. There is one camp that says everything bad you do is the devil and the other camp is completely ignorant of what the devil does. Yes, the devil is a real creature and we are in a fight FOR people, not with people. Pastor Jacob talks about the devil’s strategies AND Jesus’s victory. We can’t afford to live as though the devil doesn’t exist, but we also don’t need to live as though […]

  • Grave Clothes | Duane Sheriff

Grave clothes are sticky and smelly. They cling to the body as if they were a part of the body. When you think of them metaphorically, addiction and old habits can try to cling to us when we are born again and resurrected from a life of sin and death. Pastor Duane talks about how to walk out the new life we have been given by Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection. Maybe Easter was a day you decided to give […]

  • Easter 2022 | Welcome Home | Jacob Sheriff

The prodigal son asked for his inheritance early, he wasted it all on sin, and still… he knew he could go back to his father. What he didn’t know is that his father wouldn’t just tolerate him coming back but he would celebrate his son’s return home. It’s time to bring people home to Jesus. Let’s not be like the prodigal son’s brother. Let us know our Father’s heart so well that we go searching with Him, leaving no stone […]
