It would be one thing if there were no anwser for the plight our children are facing! BUT THERE IS! This is our time and these are our children. We each have been given certain talents by God and commanded that we use them for His honor and glory. The world is full of prodicals and children with no fathers. The Bible is very plain: Jmes 1:27 tells us "Pure religion and undefiled is this, take care of the widows and fatherless."

A dear lady says, "I feel so alone"---one of many such emails but the truth is you are never alone. Are there as many saved people as many think? ANd, are many of the saved standing---NO! We deleve into this subject in detail PLUS I now know exactly why God had us move to Mississippi---a wonderful door He has opened for reaching thousands of children with no fathers and no mothers in the home and YOU can have a great part in this new avenue to spread the word!

The scriptures tells us we are to be Christlike! What was Christ like? How about His manhood! How did He deal with people! How did He manage His disappointments! Today we will study the man Jesus Christ.

Jesus was a man of character. Many never look at that aspect of. His life yet so much of the Word concentrates on our following His example!

In 50 years of preaching---47 as a active Pastor I have tried to teach my people (and you) the power of prayer, trusting God, the joy and blessings of giving and yes serving God. Paul would say to the people in Phil.2 to "worl out their own salvation!" Work to be saved---oh no but work to grow in their christian experience---today we will talk about the work it takes to grow as a child og God.

Now more than ever it is vital we develope a "kingdom priority!" We need a passion for the mission! One day soon our chance to live for Him and serve Him will be over and we will stand before Him and give an accountant. The world may be a mess BUT GOD! We have the answer for broken lives and the lives of our loved ones! Jesus!

Oft times we find it easy to trust God for the little things but He is just as powerful over the big things. I have often said, "We don't believe in a real enough devil nor a big enough God." My friend, He is able: Eph 3:20 to take care of whatever He has allowed to come your way!

Romans 8:28 is well known to many: "All things work together for good to them who LOVE GOD and are the CALLED according to His purpose!" What a promise and the way you and I can live, regardless of the circumstances around us, in a "no fear" zone!

Self control doesn't only mean not losing your temper---it's controlling how you think about God, putting His hedge about you to keep Satan away---it means a whole lot of things we oft times firget!
