Jesus was a man of character. Many never look at that aspect of. His life yet so much of the Word concentrates on our following His example!

In 50 years of preaching---47 as a active Pastor I have tried to teach my people (and you) the power of prayer, trusting God, the joy and blessings of giving and yes serving God. Paul would say to the people in Phil.2 to "worl out their own salvation!" Work to be saved---oh no but work to grow in their christian experience---today we will talk about the work it takes to grow as a child og God.

Now more than ever it is vital we develope a "kingdom priority!" We need a passion for the mission! One day soon our chance to live for Him and serve Him will be over and we will stand before Him and give an accountant. The world may be a mess BUT GOD! We have the answer for broken lives and the lives of our loved ones! Jesus!

Romans 8:28 is well known to many: "All things work together for good to them who LOVE GOD and are the CALLED according to His purpose!" What a promise and the way you and I can live, regardless of the circumstances around us, in a "no fear" zone!

Self control doesn't only mean not losing your temper---it's controlling how you think about God, putting His hedge about you to keep Satan away---it means a whole lot of things we oft times firget!
