We had so much fun talking about Arnold on the last episode that we are doing a double feature on the big guy’s comedic work with a look at TWINS and KINDERGARTEN COP! Is funny Arnold as awesome as action Arnold? Should Danny DeVito be in everything? Is it a tumor? Tune in and find out!

We are questioning reality as we look at two action-packed sci-fi films based on the work of author Philip K. Dick! We are talking about the Spielberg-directed MINORITY REPORT (starring Tom Cruise) and the original TOTAL RECALL (starring Arnold Schwarzenegger)! We discuss the simple joys of action films mixed with heady sci-fi ideas and much more! See you at the party!

John Cusack. He’s a video store mainstay and an icon to us here at the show. So, on this episode we are giving him a spotlight as we look at the beloved 80’s teen farce, BETTER OFF DEAD and the late 90’s oddity PUSHING TIN – both featuring Mr. Cusack in the lead role. Let’s get this plane landed and that two dollars collected! What does all that mean? Listen in and find out!

More than just our audience is listening in on this episode as we talk about films featuring surveillance teams! That’s right, the phones are tapped and the mics are hot as we talk about, the classic Francis Ford Coppola paranoid thriller, THE CONVERSATION! We then lighten the mood with a look at SNEAKERS. We marvel at the acting talents of Gene Hackman and Robert Redford. We also talk about how SNEAKERS drew surprising inspiration from Coppola’s film and a lot more

Comedy has its day in court as we talk courtroom-based comedies! We take a look at the classic MY COUSIN VINNY as well as the lesser known TRIAL AND ERROR! Both films were directed by former lawyer Jonathan Lynn so we compare and contrast both projects in an attempt to explain why one is beloved and the other has become mostly forgotten. We also talk about the Marisa Tomei Oscar controversy and much more

We set sail on this episode as we look at director Ridley Scott’s 1996 sailing film, based on true events, WHITE SQUALL and director Peter Weir’s period naval combat film MASTER AND COMMANDER: THE FAR SIDE OF THE WORLD. A storm actually rages outside the podcast studio as the guys talk about the cinematic storms in both films! Funny stories are shared, trivia is thrown about, and much more!

The 20th episode of the podcast is here and we are celebrating by looking at BEVERLY HILLS COP 1 and 2! Ryan and Matt praise the joys of early Eddie Murphy and of course they heap lots of love on Judge Reinhold (callback!)! The guys talk about the films and share bits of trivia …and they may even talk about why they are ignoring Part 3. It’s more fun than a banana in the tail pipe!

Brandon Lee was an action star on the rise who tragically left us much too soon. We celebrate him on this week’s episode as we watch his last two films, RAPID FIRE and THE CROW. Ryan and Matt talk about the joys of action movies and share a ton of trivia and nostalgia about both films. Listen in and help us remember a wonderful young star.

We are spinning some vinyl on this week’s episode as we talk the 90s teen cult classic EMPIRE RECORDS and the 70s radio station hangout film FM! Does EMPIRE RECORDS hold up? Why don’t more people know about FM? Are the soundtracks to both as great as we remember? Drop the needle and listen in!

It’s one crazy episode this week as the guys look at ‘one crazy night’ films with Bill Murray’s lone directorial effort QUICK CHANGE and John Landis’ INTO THE NIGHT (starring Jeff Goldblum & Michelle Pfeiffer)! Is INTO THE NIGHT a lost classic of 80s cinema? Is QUICK CHANGE the ultimate Bill Murray movie? Listen in and find out!
