Video Game Podcast for Adult Gamers | The Andy Bee Show

Why every videogame needs a chill out space like Mario Kart World, Destiny 2, and even Squeakross - a new Nonogram/Picross game on Steam and Switch. Andy Bee covers the Xbox Showcase, the ROG Ally, Silksong, Clockwork Revolution, how the Switch 2 really feels, and even how to get the most out of the summer movie season.

Andy Bee is your host for this episode and we cover the three trends in gaming after Summer Game Fest - why are games so grim-dark lately, anyway? He blitzes through Summer Game Fest’s biggest reveals before sizing up the industry’s hot-button issues—Switch 2 scalpers, $70 price tags, and that jaw-dropping Witcher 4 Unreal demo. He then puts controller to hand with the Blades of Fire PS5 demo, checks in on his Dead Cells run, and cools down with some Sega Picross puzzling—all in under an hour. Tune in for rapid-fire highlights, sharp analysis, and a hint of what’s coming next.

Andrew “Andy B” unpacks a whirlwind week in gaming: Multiversus shuts down, E3 may be gone but Summer Game Fest fills the void. He shares smart backlog hacks for adult gamers, spotlights hidden demos (yes, they still exist), and remains the number one Picross influencer on Threads by beating Mario Picross for the Gameboy (no hints!) and is now shilling SEGA Picross. Inflation and subscription overload get called out for warping the way we buy and play, while a spoiler-light review of Invincible Season 3 lands the final blow. Strap in for news, nostalgia, and just enough tough love to keep your wallet (and sanity) intact.

The incredible videogame spring release flood is real. Andrew dodges shrapnel from DOOM: The Dark Ages, recounts his sweaty Returnal loops, and asks whether Xbox Game Pass savings outweigh PlayStation’s glorious adaptive triggers. We unpack why $80 price tags and stacked subscriptions are reshaping player habits, spotlight stand-out roguelikes (Clair Obscur, Blue Prince), and peek at the Switch 2 hype train barreling toward a very different console landscape.
