After leaving Midgar we've moved on to something new. A new world, with a new quest. And presumably some dragons. I mean, it's in the name. They had better be, right? Join us on this new adventure as the Luminary as we go from a very modern game to an intentionally old-school one.

It's almost over. We're well into the Shinra building, and this episode covers the second chunk of that. Will we reach the top? Will we tragically plummet to our deaths from 50 stories up? Am I running out of rhetorical questions? The answer to at least one of those is yes!

Today we're wrapping up the sidequests in the remake by tackling the last batch of them. And there's quite a few. We also lament one of the major disappointments we've had with the game as we prepare for the final ascent towards Shinra HQ.

Things didn't go any better, and now AVALANCHE is trying to pick up the pieces. We need to save Aerith, but first it's time to search for survivors. There's some good moments with Barret as we try to make sense of what just happened.
