  • Now THIS is Ray Tracing - 8/22/2018 - Episode 21
All the seats are taken for episode 21 of Video Games Were a Mistake. During his brief sickness hiatus, Benson found his way back to Dead Cells which the entire crew is enthralled with at this time. Ian is still hunting all the monsters and Jermaine garnered a strange obsession with virtual dart games. The gang is absolutely baffled by Amazon’s changes to their Twitch Prime service, Ubisoft is taking a breather in 2019 for Assassin’s Creed, and Nvidia dropped some insanely powerful new graphics cards for Benson to spend his lunch money on. Did we mention how good Dead Cells is?

  • Down with the Sickness - 8/15/2018 - Episode 20
Welcome to episode 20 of Video Games Were a Mistake! This week Benson was feeling under the weather so Jermaine and Ian took charge and jumped head first into this week in the world of video games. Despite our minor protest, Ian took the plunge into Monster Hunter World and has fallen hard for it. Jermaine finally started Dead Cells and it’s quickly becoming one of his favorite games ever.  The duo also talked about Diablo 3 coming to switch, the ongoing saga of the ex-IGN editor who apparently plagiarized his whole life, Ninja and his “no girls allowed” streaming policy, as well as the announcements coming out of QuakeCon.

  • No Man's Malta - 8/8/2018 - Episode 19
We took a mini break but Video Games Were a Mistake is back! Fresh back from Malta, Ian shared his thoughts on Thumper, Hammerwatch, and his fun adventures with Yakuza 0. Benson jumped back into No Man’s Sky, played a bit more of Dead Cells, and started a discussion on the 3rd and 1st person views in video games. Jermaine, while he was on the cast, played nothing new at all! Be sure to encourage him to change that via Twitter. The crew also touched on the plagiarism case that was tossed at IGN and ended the cast with talking about the death of Luigi.

  • Sexy Sweaty Vampires - Episode 13 - 6/6/2018
Welcome faithful listeners and fresh newcomers to episode 13 of Video Games Were a Mistake. This is the episode before the video game industry showers us with all of the latest and greatest news/announcements from our favorite companies and developers. On this episode Jermaine and Ian dive into the games they've been playing as the Benson attempts to cool down in the real world since he was without power for a majority of the day. Jermaine shared his thoughts on Bayonetta 1 for the Switch, finally started Detroit: Become Human, and has given up hope on becoming great in Mario Tennis Aces. Ian shared some more insights on his review of Vampyr, made Sushi Striker sound like a game that must be witness for one's self, and also opened up a new world of possibilities with Bus Simulator 18. The duo then spent some time chatting about the news from the past week including Bungie's next planned expansion for Destiny 2, the unfortunate delay of Crackdown 3(again), and attempted to understand Steam's decision to do absolutely nothing when it comes to curating their storefront. The podcast ended in a slew of E3 hopes, dreams, predictions and wants that left the host more than excited for the event to come.
