Our own amateur radio historian, Will Rogers, K5WLR, returns with another new edition of “A Century Of Amateur Radio”. This week, Will takes us back to 1924 where we find that a year or so after QST first began its International Amateur Radio department, amateurs were discussing linking amateur radio organizations around the world. In a speech at the second ARRL National Convention in late 1923, Maxim said he believed it was time for an international meeting to organize something he called a World Amateur Radio League. This is where the International Amateur Radio Union was born.
