Colonel Bleep takes Squeak and Scratch on a short trip to planet Futura. However, a new, bitter enemy, the Black Knight of Pluto, takes a quiet watch and tries every evil scheme to get rid of the space deputies.

Squeak and Scratch recieve their own space scooters from Colonel Bleep, which will be useful for flight patrol. While Scratch is determined to study the safety and importance of being a pilot, Squeak takes the impulsive route, dreaming to become "the Ace of Space."
