Welcome to Episode Two of our “The Big Thing” series!
This series is composed of several short episodes recorded by our project participants from Belgium, who will provide you with a privileged insight into our project, the activities and the people who make it so special.
This podcast is recorded, edited and mixed by Ditmar, Jay and Youssri. A special thank you goes to them.
Content warning: mention of injury. On this episode, at minute 09.45, an interviewee will very lightly mention someone having an accident. If you would rather not hear it, skip to minute 10.24.
On this episode, we listen to the voices of Belgian participants. Two participants, Kinga and Ibrahim, alongside an accompanying person, Angélique, reflect on their experience with the project and recall their memories of the transnational training in Slovenia in July.
The three interviewees share their motivation to join “The
Big Thing”, what their favourite part was, what challenges they faced, the lessons learned, and what they will carry with them once the project is finished.
Enjoy your listening and tune back in next month for a new episode!
”The Big Thing” is a project funded by the European Union and developed by Asociacion Arkhe (Spain) in collaboration with Zavod ODTIZ (Slovenia) and VIEWS
International. This project aims to promote greater inclusion of people with disabilities in youth work and non-formal education across Europe, particularly
through the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs. As part of this initiative, individuals with disabilities from Belgium, Slovenia, and Spain are taking part in a specialised training programme to become European trainers, following the ETS (European Training Strategy) competency model.
