It is the nature of the Father to reveal Himself. It is also the nature of the Father to always be speaking, and communicating His thoughts, His will, His desires, via the Holy Spirit. Why? Because He desires fellowship. Does fellowship have a time limit or a calendar constraint? No, fellowship is a 24 hour a day relationship. 1st Corinthians 1:9 says, “God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1st John 1:3 says, “Our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.”
If we can understand that the topic of hearing from the Holy Spirit & walking with the Holy Spirit in partnership, if we can understand that all of that is in the context of our Main calling—-which is fellowship with the Father and with His Son through the Holy Spirit—then any perceived difficulties we encounter with hearing the Holy Spirit are much more easily addressed and remedied, primarily by the confidence we are given in our relationship with the heavenly Father and with His Son.
“This is the confidence we have. If we ask anything according to his will we know he hears us and if we know he hears us that we know we have the petitions we have asked of him” And I believe a keyword for all of us as we navigate these in times is the word “confidence”; Confidence not in ourselves, but in him who is able to raise the dead.
