There are two types of subjects for the Soul to experience - the external physical world and the internal conscious world. For the experience of the external world, the Soul uses mind and indriyas (sense organs) while for going into the internal world, one needs to learn the art of controlling and withdrawing mind and indriyas (sense organs) from the physical world. The purpose of Spirituality is to enter the inner world and recognize the true conscious self and attain the supreme bliss of the Almighty already available inside.
