Виктор Макаренко - советский и российский философ и политолог, специалист в области политологии, политической философии, методологии социального познания. Доктор философских наук (1988), доктор политических наук (1996), профессор (1990), профессор Южного федерального университета, в 2001—2010 гг. завкафедрой политической теории. Заслуженный деятель науки РФ (1998), иностранный член Академии педагогических наук Украины (2006). Ординарный профессор Польской Республики (1999) и в 2010—2016 — директор Центра политической концептологии Северо-Кавказского института социально-экономических проблем ЮФУ, ныне его главный научный сотрудник.
Victor Makarenko is a Soviet and Russian philosopher and political scientist, a specialist in the field of political science, political philosophy, and methodology of social cognition. Doctor of Philosophy (1988), Doctor of Political Science (1996), Professor (1990), Professor of the Southern Federal University, in 2001-2010. Head of the Department of Political Theory. Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation (1998), foreign member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine (2006). Ordinary professor of the Polish Republic (1999) and in 2010-2016 - director of the Center for Political Conceptology of the North Caucasus Institute of Socio-Economic Problems of the Southern Federal University, now its chief researcher.
