Hey guys.

Congratulations to the winners of last week's competition.

Let's vibes again this week.

I was thinking of the next song to cover and I thought of this movie I watched when I was a teenager. It is titled Annie. I was intrigued with how Annie's dream became a reality after a lot of struggle in her foster home.

Let me know in the comments if you enjoyed my cover.

Ciao.

Lyrics:

Under the glow of the very bright lights

I turn my face towards the warm night skies

And I am not afraid of a thousand eyes

And there above five hundred smiles

Oh, I used to think (oh, she used to think)

"What wouldn't I give (what wouldn't she give)

For a moment like this?" (For a moment like this)

This moment, this gift

Oh, now look at me and this opportunity

Is standing right in front of me

But one thing I know, it's only part luck and so

I'm putting on my best show

Under the spotlight, I'm starting my life

Big dreams becoming real tonight

So look at me and this opportunity

You're witnessing my moment, you see

My big opportunity

And now I'm right here and it's time

'Cause this is real, this is real and it's all mine

I'm not afraid, afraid to fly

When it's above five hundred smiles

Oh, I used to think (oh, she used to think)

"What I wouldn't give (what wouldn't she give)

For a moment like this?" (For a moment like this)

This moment, this gift

And now look at me and this opportunity

Is standing right in front of me

But one thing I know, it's only part luck and so

I'm putting on my best show

Under the spotlight, I'm starting my life

Big dreams becoming real tonight

So look at me and this opportunity

You're witnessing my moment, you see

My big opportunity

I won't waste it

I guarantee.

Enjoy.

Hi vibes,

It is good to be here after a week of being away.

I'm beginning to like old songs, which is very unlike me.

So, I decided to sing my own version of the song.

Here is my entry:

The lyrics of the song:

Stand by me by BEN E. KING

When the night

Has come

And the land is dark

And the moon

Is the only

Light we'll see

No I won't

Be afraid

No I won't

Be afraid

Just as long

As you stand

Stand by me

So darlin', darlin'

Stand by me

Oh stand by me

Oh stand

Stand by me

Stand by me

If the sky

That we look upon

Should tumble and fall

Or the mountains

Should crumble to the sea

I won't cry

I won't cry

No I won't shed a tear

Just as long

As you stand

Stand by me

And darlin', darlin'

Stand by me

Oh stand by me

Oh stand now

Stand by me

Stand by me

And darlin', darlin'

Stand by me

Oh stand by me

Oh stand now

Stand by me

Stand by me

Whenever you're in trouble won't you stand by me

Oh stand by me

Won't you stand now

Oh stand

I hope you all enjoy my cover,

Gracias.

My final year in uni has been quite overwhelming, and of course, I have had a lot of meltdowns, but then, I have learnt over time that drowning in sadness will not make me feel any better.

This song is a timeless anthem of positivity and resilience that resonates deeply with me. This song is simple yet powerful. This message encourages us to face life's challenges with a smile and a light heart.

In a world filled with stress and uncertainty, this serves as a reminder to focus on the good, embrace joy, and let go of what we can not control.

My entry for the week captures this essence through the lyrics. I chose this song to not only entertain but also inspire listeners to find their own happiness amidst adversity. Music has the incredible power to heal people, and through this entry, I hope to spread a message of hope and positivity. Let's celebrate life, cherish the little moments, and remember to always keep a song in our hearts.

Enjoy...

Father's Day was a few days ago, and I took my time to reminiscence about my childhood memories with my dad. Over the years, my father has shown me over and over again how to love and how to be loved.

I was thinking about the perfect song for this week, and after asking @monioluwa to help, I chose Jax's like my father.

Jax summarizes the love between her parents in her 3 minutes plus song, and it resonated the love my parents have for each other, too.

What stood out for me in this song was the fact that she didn't just talk about love when they were young and attractive but love now that their hair is turning grey and the body is changing shape. It shows how strong their love is to each other.

I thought to myself, "what more do we all need other than a patient and kind person, someone who tells you that you are fine wine better with age when you hair is turning grey? Someone who you are truly friends with.

I really enjoyed doing the cover for this song, and I hope you enjoy it too.

See ya.

Hey Vibes,

I'm super duper excited to here again for more vibes. It's Week 11 and this is my entry. Hearty thanks to the vibes community where people could grow and become better versions of themselves.

Also, congratulations to the winners for Week 10.

I thought of a song that will not just entertain but inspire and encourage others, then Brave Heart came to mind.

This song by Tasha Layton reminds me to remind others who are going through difficult moments that they have got a brave heart to deal with life blows.

I hope this song resonates with you

Cheers.

Hi everyone. It's viktorie here and I'm excited as this is my first time here. @sekani and I met at a friend's place @monioluwa and it's was so beautiful to know that she knows most of the artistes I know. Long story short, we sang a duet that evening and then she invited me to join hive.

This song has comforted me in times where I felt that I was not going to win life's battles and then I am always reminded that God has never left my side nor had He stopped fighting for me. I hope you enjoy my cover.
