Village Church Annandale (Sydney) sermons

Today we are talking the unknown Jesus. We’re in the Heart of Annandale art exhibition doing Church among the artworks.

Have you ever thought “I’ve messed up too much, how could God ever accept me?” Hosea 14 has a surprising answer from God that you don’t want to miss. Join us as our Maturity and Ministry Pastor Jon Kwan opens up the final chapter of Hosea.

‘Living for myself seems to work for me…’ is something we might hear or even think ourselves. But does that really satisfy? What if there was actually something to live for that you knew for certain you would get in the future? Surely this is what we all actually desire. Join us as Maturity and Ministry Pastor Jon Kwan opens up Hosea 12-13 today and shows us where ‘Certain hope is found’.

There’s more talk in the media now about hell and heaven, and sin and salvation than there’s been in decades, but much of what’s been said is nothing like what Jesus taught. Perhaps surprisingly but significantly, the teaching of Jesus is that, ‘Bad people go to heaven, and good people go to hell.’ Today, Dominic Steele speaks with both compassion and clarity on the teaching of Jesus in Luke 18:9-14. Join us with an open mind.

How many times can someone say, “I love you” and be ignored, before they stop loving? And what if the one saying, “I love you” is God? Join us as our Maturity and Ministry Pastor Jon Kwan, opens up Hosea 10-11 to answer this question from God’s perspective and think about how we should respond.

Out of sight, out of mind… It’s so easy to lose perspective when we can’t see what’s coming up. But what do we keep forgetting, that God wants us to remember? Join us as Maturity and Ministry Pastor Jon Kwan, opens up Hosea 8-9 to answer this question both for 8th Century BC Israel and for us.
