We are thinking about the complexities that come through affliction. External ones like abuse, adultery, lies, theft job loss or financial pressure. Or internal ones like depression, anxiety, or even our own failure, incomptenance or wrong action. We’re exploring the comfort that comes in the Christian gospel as we start a new series ‘Grace and People for His Glory.’ Our key verse today is ‘that we would not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead.’
