This Sunday Alex will be taking us through three challenges from Jesus in Matthew 21:23-46. Despite repeated warnings from Jesus, Israel's leaders refuse to heed God's warning and return to him. Instead they become increasingly hard hearted going from skeptical to hostile to all out rebellious.

In these three challenges, we are again reminded of the absolute necessity of recognising Jesus as God's King and warned of the consequences of failing to do so. Instead we are called to hear these warning, believe them and bear fruit in keeping with repentance. As this happens we are also encouraged that no-one is unacceptable to God provide they recognise Jesus as their king

This week, Alex takes us through Matthew 21:1-22 which records one of the most anticipated events in history: Jesus' entry into Jerusalem as the long awaited king of God's people.

As we read this account and observe the different ways that people respond to Jesus coming we will grapple with two big questions. Firstly, who is Jesus? Then secondly, how should we each respond to him?
