We keep attempting to push away the idea that life is brief and we will all die. But it's all over the scriptures. We're told by God to have this perspective.

There are so many implications. We will (a) know how transient we are, (b) run with a perspective of eternity, (c) cool in our love for the world, (d) pursue humility, (e) run to repentance, (f) resist temptation, (g) redeem the time, (h) put aside the bitterness of grief, and (i) value grace.
