We can lead our hearts. We can use what we believe to filter how we feel. We can do this by praying scripture. Praying scripture isn't empty or rote praying when we do the work to understand and own the scripture. Then it maintains its meaning. This week we'll be praying scripture with meaning, starting with the Lord's Prayer. When Jesus taught his followers to pray, he gave them a script that's in line with his priorities, the Great Command (Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, & strength and love your neighbor as yourself.) That script is the Lord's prayer. The first part of the prayer is about loving God, and the second part of the prayer is about loving our neighbor. Let's pray the Lord's Prayer this week.
