April 12, 2021 I'd Like to Strangle My Boss!
The song this week is one I wrote for wrestler Adrian Street which he used each time he entered the ring....it's called Imagine What I Could Do To You...I once jokingly played it to a record producer at a major label who commented that the world would never be ready for this song....it ended up on Adrian's many TV videos and paid off my mortgage....that was my answer.

YouTube has opened many doors and has given various talents the chance to instantly go worldwide.....so the days of presenting your songs to a publisher....and giving him the opportunity to say "Hmm...er.....it's not quite what we are looking for"....are over.....and you don't particularly need radio play.....and it costs nothing....best thing since sliced bread......the beauty is it's free and you can instantly send your offerings world wide....and the computer technology can give you studio results in your bedroom so unless you are utilising a 50 piece orchestra you won't be needing Abbey Road.....so the publishers can now whistle for their 50%.....as I have always said show business is 10% show and 90% business.

April 06, 2021 Spain:Masks, Masks and More Masks!
In Spain......“People from the age of six and older have the obligation to wear masks [...] on public
streets, in outdoor spaces and in any closed space that has a public use or is open to the public,” reads
the BOE announcement published on Tuesday.

Until now, regional governments were free to adapt these rules as they saw fit, and many did so
immediately after they came out. Some regions made masks mandatory at all times, but introduced
exceptions for certain situations, such as going to the beach.

In Exceltur, they are extremely critical of the ubiquitous images of illegal parties in tourist apartments in
cities like Madrid and the new rules that require travelers coming over the French border to have a
negative PCR test.

But in the Valencia region, the use of face masks was already mandatory in public areas, including
beaches and swimming pools, regardless of social distance. This law was passed in February and will
remain in force until April 12. Only those in the water are exempt.

The Dynamic @DonWoods joins the vicarious @vincetracy to have a rant against #television programmes from #BBC and #itv which are not cutting the mustard! The standard of TV is becoming a joke......there are some decent programmes but you have to search for them by skilfully trying to dodge the cookery programmes or Ant and Dec.....and the talentless Jonathan Ross and Graham Norton with their selection of
stars of stage screen and scrapheap....who they "chat" to about their latest book,play or comeback and have to roar laughing at nothing....then we have multi millionaire Gary Linacre sitting with a couple of football "pundits"discussing a football match we have just watched.....yes old Gary gets millions for his weekly 90 minutes....well worth my licence fee.

The song this week is one I wrote for a dear friend of mine who is sadly no longer with us...."Skiffle"John Lomax who played in one of the first local skiffle groups in the 50s and I saw them on stage in 1958 which was the first time I heard an electric guitar played live......I met John many years later and we became good friends....John was featured in the TV series "Days That Shook The World" which was about the fatal water
speed record attempt by Donald Campbell of which John had rare cine footage....this song was my tribute to him and actually got us a gig in Finland where we went and performed at their national skiffle convention ....so here it is "The Story of Skiffle" sung by John Lomax

Spain’s coronavirus incidence rate is rising at an accelerating pace. That’s according to the latest report
on the epidemiological situation from the Spanish Health Ministry, released on evening 25th.......... Five
thousand rock fans in face masks enjoyed a concert in Barcelona 27th March after passing a same-day
coronavirus antigen test in an experiment into the screening's effectiveness.
