This Thursday, July 16th is the anniversary of the birth of Vincent St John, nicknamed “The Saint,” in 1876. He was one of the most beloved leaders and organizers of the militant Western Federation of Miners (W-F-M) and the Industrial Workers of the World (I-W-W). He was a founder of the IWW and its General Secretary through some of the IWW’s most important strikes and campaigns. Feature contributor, Harry Richardson has the story.
