This past Sunday was full of blessings. We reflected on our past weekend of service to the community after Hurricane Beryl and the theme of Regeneration. John’s Gospel is written “so that you may believe.”  This week our students experienced a week of missions as they built wheel chair ramps in Athens Tx.  In the process God did a work in their hearts turning many to a new understanding of belief and faith.  Hear as they testify to the power and presence of God.

We often come to Jesus with a desire for what he can do for us, but Jesus wants to not only change our circumstance but our whole lives.  For us to have a testimony of Gods faithfulness we must first take him at his word.

Belief is a curious notion in our world, with more deception than truth.  Belief is vital to our faith as we see all throughout scripture.  So what does the Bible really mean by “believe.” By looking at 2 passages where belief does not lead to salvation, we can begin to get a more clear understanding of of the nature of belief and the Gospel we are called to believe.

Jesus is always calling people back to himself. God desires all to know Him and come back home. While God's word goes out to all, different people react to it in different ways. What is the quality of your heart to receive God's word? And are you praying for your community and your neighborhood to be good soil for the Gospel?
