Jesus sends out 72 "others" in addition to the 12 disciples with identical instructions and authority. We may think that the work of ministry is only for the trained "professionals" but Jesus shows us that he has equipped and empowered every single person who decides to follow him!

In the conclusion to our two part Easter series in the book of Ruth, we see that the Redeemer found in this amazing story is not Boaz...the man who marries Ruth...but Ruth's son...and ultimately the true redeemer in the story is Jesus who is the descendent of Ruth, a foreigner in Israel. It's one more example of the upside down kingdom at work in God's redemptive plan of Salvation.

In the first of our two part series during Easter in the book of Ruth, Pastor Trevor looks at the life of Naomi, Ruth's mother in law. Here we see a woman who has changed her name to "Bitter" because of the harsh circumstances of her life. The questions is..what is God doing in her life that she can't see...and what is He doing in yours?

Just like the people of Israel, we often think the solution to our societal problems will come in the form of better earthly leadership.
