Today we turned our attention to what we are calling the "Power Gifts." These are the supernatural gifts that usually come to mind when we think about the ministry of Jesus and the apostles in Acts. We believe these are gifts the Holy Spirit is still handing out today, and we need every one of them for the church to be whole and complete in its ministry to the world! This Sunday, we will explore Prophecy, Tongues, and the Interpretation of Tongues.

Today we continue our conversation about Spiritual Gifts, looking at the next three “word gifts”: leadership, shepherding, and evangelism. Our goal for this study is to look at all 21 gifts, eliminate the ones that are not ours, identify the ones that are or might be ours, and learn about all of them so we can help others discern their gifts. Once we identify our spiritual gifts and intentionally practice them at Vintage, we believe our church will reach a level of spiritual wholeness and health we have never known before!

Today, we turn our attention to the "word gifts". Like the "love gifts" we looked at last week, God has distributed these gifts to different people in our body, and their presence is necessary for our body to be whole and healthy! Do you have one of these gifts? Take a step toward figuring it out today!

Today, we looked at the practical love gifts that manifest through acts of care and service. These gifts are the ways the body of Christ is nourished—displaying God's love through individuals who serve, give, show mercy, encourage, welcome, and support the congregation. Discover where you fit in as we take an in-depth look and define each of these spiritual gifts.

Today, we will focus on how spiritual giftedness doesn't equate to spiritual maturity. The character and motives behind why we do things should be defined by love, not by ambition. We will continue looking at spiritual gifts and how they must be rooted in Christlikeness, with the intent to love the body fully.

Gifts of the Holy Spirit! Todaywe began a multi-week discussion on the gifts of the Holy Spirit that defined the ministry of Jesus, what they look like in our lives, and some foundational thoughts that are necessary for us to understand them best. We will start with and build off of Romans 12 vs 3-8.

Everywhere Jesus went, unusual events followed. Blind eyes were opened, spiritually oppressed people were set free, people had their deepest secrets spoken to and healed, and people were convicted of sin and spiritually saved. Jesus made waves everywhere he went. Do we live believing unusual events follow his disciples? Do we believe God wants to move through us today? Do we believe in a move of God that impacts our church family and our community as a whole? Today, we will talk about all of this, the idea of “revival,” and what it means for us.

Today, we will take the next step in our fall study, Convergence, as we look at imitating Jesus through what we call spiritual practices. We will find that these are not religious acts done out of a sense of responsibility, but rather a natural desire to always be in relationship with His Father.

Jesus said that we can do everything He did on earth. Do you believe it? Was Jesus just pulling our leg? Did He really mean everything? On Sunday, we take our first full step into our fall study, Convergence. We will begin by looking at Jesus as our model—the one we imitate in every aspect of life—and spend time looking at what He has given us that enables us to make that happen!

As we begin our preparation for launching into the spiritual gifts we will first take a look at Jesus. Christ asks us to prepare our hearts and minds to receive Him as the bread of life, the living water and the light of life. When we are aligned with who Jesus is and who he asks us to be we can fit into the body and operate in our gifts and callings by His design.
